Tyson Debuts WARRANT Colors with Top 5 Finish
Berwick, PA (April 14, 2013) In his first outling this season, Mark
Tyson of Horsham, PA brought home a solid fifth place finish in his #22
WARRANT – I Saw Red Chevy Impala.
Kyle Harvell set the quickest Late Model time but Dave Brigati of Long
Island, NY redrew the pole for the 30-lap Late Model main. He led the
first circuit over Harvell, Mitch Hawk, Mark Tyson and Jim Lamoreaux.
Rick Smith cracked the top five when he got by Lamoreaux on lap six
and then the yellow waved with 12 laps complete.
The drivers were able to choose their restart lane and Tyson, who ran
fourth at the time, moved to second by choosing the outside lane.
Brigati continued to set the pace on the final restart and Harvell and
Hawk moved by Tyson to advance their positions. Although Harvell gave
the leader a small shot on the final lap, Brigati kept it straight to
claim his first victory in the division since 2011. Harvell, Hawk,
Lamoreaux and Tyson completed the top five.
“Overall, it was a great day”, noted Tyson.
“I could have probably got to fourth, but didn’t want to risk tearing
the car up on opening day. I’m lucky enough to have awesome teammates
and friends, who feverishly work on this car and it feels good to start
off with a top five finish for all of our great sponsors and
supporters.”
Tyson and the WARRANT machine will be back in action at Mountain
Speedway on Sunday, May 5. All of the action is slated to start at 2 PM
EST. Please visit
